Picking Knotweed in Branch Brook Park

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]To demonstrate their love for their community, on June 4, 2015, members of the World Mission Society Church of God put on gardening gloves and, in unity, supported the “Care of the Park Movement,” a movement of picking knotweed in Branch Brook Park. The Newark-NJ park received much love from the members as they helped to preserve, protect and promote a healthy environment within the park. Residents and community members participate in numerous recreational activities at Branch Brook and the members of the Church of God were able to take the lead in caring for the park through their service activity.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”11327″ border_color=”grey” img_link_target=”_blank” img_size=”full” alignment=”center” img_link_large=”yes”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”11326″ border_color=”grey” img_link_target=”_blank” img_size=”full” alignment=”center” img_link_large=”yes”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]With extraordinary enthusiasm, the team of volunteers didn’t mind working under the sun to remove weeds, poison ivy and other invasive plants from areas that were in need of attention. As they continued to uproot these plants and clean the area, many regulars at the park even stopped their own activities to thank the volunteers and cheer them on for their great efforts and hard work. They were highly commended by the organizers and arborists as well for the swift and thorough cleanup of several stretches of the Lenape Trail within the park.

The World Mission Society Church of God members believe in Heavenly Mother and for this reason, they make it their mission to follow Her example of good deeds. Through their volunteer efforts, the members of the Church of God will continue to shine in every community throughout the world.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_single_image image=”11325″ border_color=”grey” img_link_target=”_blank” img_size=”full” alignment=”center” img_link_large=”yes”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
