Mother’s Love Felt in Santa Clarita Hospital

America-3LA-Hospital(130409-Church)-Letter of AppreciationSharing Love with Seniors Brings Great Rewards

On April 7, 2013, the volunteers from the World Mission Society Church of God in Los Angeles visited the Santa Clarita Convalescent Hospital to cheer up residents and encourage them with beautiful and fun performances. With hearts full of Mother’s love, each member wholeheartedly dedicated their time to attending to the patients with laughs and smiles.

Following the event, the Church of God received a certificate of appreciation from the hospital. The certificate reads, “Certificate of appreciation awarded to the World Mission Society Church of God in recognition and appreciation to your commitment for our community and for making a difference through volunteer service.”

Ingrid Discun sent a letter of thanks accompanying the certificate addressed to Chief Pastor of the Church of God, Pastor Joo Cheol Kim. The letter reads:

“I would like to thank the World Mission Society Church of God so much for visiting our facility on April 7th, 2013. They did an amazing job volunteering and I only received food reviews from all the residents and staff. The performances were very beautiful, well organized, and most importantly all the residents were very happy. It is

[] very trying in the life of the residents and being placed in a nursing home environment can be difficult to adjust considering they are away from their loved ones. The volunteers that came and donated their time from the church were very caring and compassionate and delivered a message of love to our residents. For this, I would like to thank all the members of the church for coming out and helping spread the love of God, and it would be our honor if the church could come back again and continue to spread joy to all. On behalf of Santa Clarita Convalescent Hospital I would like to recommend this organization to other facilities.”

The Church of God mutually appreciates the hospital for allowing our members to organize this inspiring event. As the residents of the hospital felt encouraged, this letter of appreciation also encouraged the members to continue doing good deeds in the community.
