Community Service Activity Receives Great Thanks from Government Official
The World Mission Society Church of God regularly carries out community service work, such as hosting blood drives and performing environmental cleanups. In a routine cleanup, featuring over 300 members of the Church of God, Council Member Ralph L. Franklin reached out to thank to Church of God for its good deeds. Council Member Franklin expressed his gratitude in a leader directed to the World Mission Society Church of God. Letters such as his motivate members of the Church of God to continue doing good deeds. The Church of God thanks the Council Member for taking his time to express his appreciation. The Church of God gives all thanks and praise to Heavenly Mother, the One who taught us to be the salt and light of the world by displaying good deeds.
The Councilor’s touching letter reads as follows:
“Dear Pastor Lee:
On behalf of the City of Inglewood, it my great honor to present you and the more than 300 members of the World Mission Society Church of God with this commendation your Community Clean-Up efforts in the City of Inglewood on Sunday, December 30, 2012. Your excellent community service effort on Market Street in Downtown Inglewood and at the City-owned property at Imperial Hwy and Prairie Avenue is evidence of your fervent desire to improve the communities in which we live, work and serve. I am still amazed at the sheer number of individuals that you were able to mobilize, from both inside and outside California, for this momentous project.
Your selection of the City of Inglewood as your 2012 year-end community service project is sincerely and graciously appreciated and know that you and the members of the World Mission Society Church of God have made a positive difference in our community and a lasting impression upon our hearts.
Thank you for your service to the City of Inglewood.
Ralph L. Franklin
Council Member, 4th District”
