Church of God Inglewood Cleanup Receives Commendation

In addition to the written thanks from Council Member Ralph Franklin, the Church of God received an official Commendation from the City of Inglewood. The commendation reads as follows:

“Commendation presented to the World Mission Society Church of God on the occasion of the City of Inglewood Community Clean-up

It is with great pride and pleasure that the Mayor and Council of the City of Inglewood, California extend sincere appreciation to Pastor John Lee and the more than 300 members of the World Mission Society Church of God for your efforts during the City of Inglewood Community Clean-Up Event held on December 30, 2012.

WHEREAS, the World Mission Society Church of God’s vision is to continue their tradition as a welcoming multicultural community of transformation and compassion that strives to maintain a vital connection to the communities in which they live, work and serve through their volunteer service programs; and

WHEREAS, one of the main missions of the World Mission Society Church of God is to positively impact and improve their communities through the appropriation of them tremendous resources to community clean-up service projects conducted locally, nationally and abroad.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT KNOWN that the Mayor and Council of the City of Inglewood, California do hereby extend our sincere gratitude to the World Mission Society Church of God family for your commitment to community service and to the improvement of the quality of life for others. Your uncompromising love, sacrifice and devotion are sincerely appreciated.”
