[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Even one year after the Mega Blood Drive 2014, the World Mission Society Church of God continues to give thanks to Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother for the successful and lifesaving event.

On April 22, 2015, a representative of the Church of God in New York flew to Denver, Colorado to accept the Association of Donor Recruitment Professionals’ (ADRP) Organization of the Year Award.

The ADRP is an international organization composed of blood center CEOs and directors who oversee the recruitment of blood donors. Their annual conference features seminars where leaders discuss best practices, learn new strategies, and honor top performers and organizations. The highlight of the award segment is the Organization of the Year Award, which goes to the organization nominated by one or more blood center for recruiting the most donors.

In regards to the Church of God’s nomination, ADRP President Todd Abner shared, “Your church has been a wonderful, wonderful sponsor in this last year by helping us save lives in the communities all along the East Coast and, of course, all around the world. As a donor recruitment professional who’s tasked every day with that job of finding blood donors, your work has been immeasurable in saving lives in our communities.”

It was an unprecedented nomination. Usually, one or two blood centers recommend an organization for the award. This year, seven blood centers selected the World Mission Society Church of God as the award’s recipient. The ADRP invited a representative of the Church of God to be the keynote speaker and explain the Church’s story and how it achieved its results.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_single_image image=”11135″ border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”yes” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” interval=”3″ images=”11142,11134″ onclick=”link_image” custom_links_target=”_self” img_size=”720×480″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]Leaders in the industry were amazed by the Church of God’s performance: the collection of 1,503 pints of blood in a single event (the previous record for most donations at the ADRP was 600). Beverly Clark, Senior Donor Recruiter and recipient of Recruiter of the Year Award, expressed her admiration and gratitude for this accomplishment. “On behalf of what I do, I would just like to say thank you to the World Mission [Society Church of God]. For a recruiter to have an organization like yours step up and make this event possible—and also working with so many blood services for the same cause and the same passion—is to save lives, and blood does give life.” During the presentation, which provided background to the Mega Blood Drive and how it came about, the attendees grew curious to discover how the Church of God accomplished that kind of turn out.

The Church of God explained that Heavenly Mother’s example of selflessly giving love to others inspired the members of the Church to follow in Her footsteps, which made the event possible. Members see volunteer activities, such as blood drives, as opportunities to put their faith into action and demonstrate the love they have received from Heavenly Mother through the New Covenant Passover.

ADRP attendants were left with Mother’s Teaching #1, “It is better to give love than to receive, as God always gives love,” as the way to understand what it takes to unify the hearts and minds of thousands of people to help others. The ADRP Organization of the Year Award is a testimony to what God’s teachings can achieve when practiced.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2/3″][vc_gallery type=”flexslider_slide” interval=”3″ images=”11138,11139,11140″ onclick=”link_image” custom_links_target=”_self” img_size=”full” title=”“We love you!“”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” interval=”3″ images=”11136,11137″ onclick=”link_image” custom_links_target=”_self” img_size=”480×480″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row]
