When people first visit the Church of God, they often encounter women praying and keeping service wearing veils on their heads. They undoubtedly ask, “Why do women wear veils?” Although this practice seems unfamiliar, Apostle Paul addressed this question to the Early Church many years ago:

1 Corinthians 11:1-16 Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ… Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man…Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head. And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head—it is just as though her head were shaved…If anyone wants to be contentious about this, we have no other practice—nor do the churches of God.

Through Scripture, we see that Christ commanded women to wear veils. Therefore, women at the World Mission Society Church of God, in keeping with the teachings of Christ and of the Bible, also wear veils during prayer and worship.
