On Sunday, July 5th, branch churches of the World Mission Society Church of God came together in New Windsor, New York for “Let’s Be Like Isaac” - a unity rally for the members of the East Coast branch churches. Biblically, at his birth, Isaac brought joy to his mother, Sarah, because she had been unable to have children and was well advanced in age. Through this rally, members were moved to make a firm resolution to bring joy and gladness to Heavenly Mother by expanding the Church of God to more locations on the East Coast.
The World Mission Society Church of God hosted its first-ever table tennis tournament on Father's Day, June 21, 2015. Players represented various nations including Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Jamaica, Haiti, Nigeria, Mexico, Italy, Dominican Republic and the United States.
On the warm Sunday afternoon of June 21st, families were busy celebrating and honoring their fathers for Father’s Day. Members of the Church of God in Ridgewood, NJ, too, hosted a BBQ for their friends, families and neighbors. Bright and happy faces streamed into the church to enjoy delicious home-cooked food and desserts.
The Church of God in New Hampshire commemorated the love and sacrifice of the members’ fathers and grandfathers with a special Father’s Day appreciation event. The Church was filled with family members excited to spend time together.
This Sunday at the Church of God World Mission Society the aroma of pineapples and laughter filled the air as members and family and friends enjoyed a day of food and fun at our Hawaiian Luau. As guests were arrived, they were greeted by members dressed in hula skirts, Hawaiian leis and bright smiles. The Church’s fellowship room and welcome hallway were decorated with palm trees and floral garlands that covered the ceiling and walls. And no one could resist the appetizing buffet of summer favorite foods.
Branch Brook Park, located in New Jersey’s Essex County, received help from more than forty World Mission Society Church of God volunteers to clear invasive plants and debris as part of the park’s Care of the Park Movement. The park relies on volunteers to preserve its natural resources of more than two miles of trails, fields, trees and ponds.
This Father's Day was a special one at the World Mission Society Church of God in Passaic, NJ. Wanting to show their fathers appreciation for their love and sacrifice, the members all came together to create the perfect sports event. Passaic is a city with a large Latin American community and with the World Cup taking place, it was the perfect way to bring dads and families together to watch the game and celebrate.
Even if it seems like a mother and daughter don't have anything in common at all, there's one thing that every girl loves to do - dance! Here at the Church of God, we wanted to find a way to bring mother and daughter together for a night of pure fun. We invited friends, family and neighbors to the Mommy and Me Dance Class.
Two weeks after celebrating the Day of Pentecost, on June 7, 2015, the members of the World Mission Society Church of God held the “2015 Rally for the Establishment of 300 Churches,” where members showed a display of unity, endurance, and brotherhood through a soccer tournament and dance show.
