In 1948, in accordance with the prophecy of the fig tree, Second Coming Christ, Ahnsahnghong, restored the truth of the New Covenant in South Korea. Then, in 1964, Christ Ahnsahnghong founded the World Mission Society Church of God, reestablishing all the truth of the Early Church first taught by Jesus Christ 2,000 years ago. Since its re-inception, the Church of God has become the fastest growing church in the world, with more than 1,500 local churches in over 150 countries.
The overseas mission of the Church of God began in 1997, when the first Los Angeles Church of God opened its doors. In that same year, Churches were also established in Pakistan and Germany. In 2000, the Los Angeles Church branched out to the East Coast, initiating a Church of God in Bogota, New Jersey. By 2002, missionary work was taking place in 70 different countries. In only one decade, the truth of the Early Church spread throughout the entire world, as it is prophesied:
Isaiah 2:2-3 『In the last days the mountain of the LORD’s temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and all nations will stream to it. Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.』
Today, the Church of God has been established in Manhattan, Queens, Long Island, Central and South Jersey, Philadelphia, Connecticut, all along the East Coast from New Hampshire to Miami and even to the Caribbean in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica and the whole world. The World Mission Society Church of God continues in its efforts to reveal the truth of life to all who are waiting to receive Second Coming Christ and the prophesied Heavenly Mother.
